Description - Scope : The third new Safaricom data center will be constructed by Safaricom Ethiopia in the company’s ICT Park, near Addis Abeba’s Bole international airport. The company is a part of the Vodafone group and it recently began pilot services last month.In order to construct the center, it inked a developed land sublease deal with Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC). Anwar Sousa said that they were happy to have a win-win partnership with IPDC. The latter will allow them to build their third data center in Ethiopia.The Tier III telco cloud data center will contribute to the ambitious digitalization goals stated by the country’s digital strategy.
