Description - Description: In 2022, Region Zealand took over full responsibility for the medical emergency service, which was previously run by the Danish Association of General Practitioners (PLO). This change marked a significant change, with the region also int roducing a new emergency telephone line, 1818, which collects all emergency calls regarding physical and mental illness and injuries.
