Description - Description: All sea vessels carrying live animals from Ireland must have undergone prior inspection and approval – the inspection process is carried out jointly by a team of specialist marine surveyors and official veterinarians; their report and recommendation forms the basis of any decision by DAFM to approve the vessel to carry livestock from the State or in the EU, in line with the legislation in place.
